The International Committee of The Red Cross:
Is a humanitarian organization neutrality, impartiality and independently that not merely carry out humanitarian tasks in order to protect the lives and dignity of victims of war and violence in the country as well as giving help to them. In cases of armed conflict international and non international, ICRC humanitarian action is based on the Convention and protocol-protocol. This is the reason why we say that a special mandate has been entrusted to ICRC by the community of States parties of the Convention. In cases of internal violence, ICRC action based on the right of humanitarian initiative as in the Statute of the movement.

Upon his return to Switzerland making it Dunant continued to be haunted by the nightmare that he saw at Solferino. To eliminate the bad shadow in his mind and to attract the attention of the world will be the reality of war he wrote a hardscrabble books and published at their own expense in November 1862 “ Memory of Solferino” (Un Souvenir De Solferino).

On 24 June 1859 in Solferino a small town located in the lower mainland Provincial Lambordi North of Italy took place between soldiers fighting France and Austria. The battle that lasted about 4 hours and involves some 320000 people soldiers have tens of thousands of dead and wounded. About 40 thousand people died in the fighting.
The number of soldiers who fell victim to a battle took place between where the groups facing each other it is a characteristic of war which took place at that time. No change as the mass killings of thousands of people were slaughtered at a time. What's more the military commander was not paying attention to the interests of the injured people to get help and treatment. They are only considered “ food Cannon”. The number of surgeons were very insufficient. At that time there were only four people who took care of a veterinarian and a medical doctor of a thousand horses to a thousand people. The battle was eventually won by France.

Jean Henry Dunant

Jean Henry Dunant was born on 8 may 1828 in Geneva-Switzerland. His father was a member of the Council of the Republic in Switzerland named Jean Jacques Dunant. His mother was Antoinette Colladon. Colladon fled to Geneva where in France there is a pursuit against the Christians devotees understand Calvijn. Since Henry Dunant was educated Christian way. He nurtured the seeds of love towards each other alive which is a mirror of her life later. His father when it served as Chairman of the Foundation's Childcare u2013 an orphaned boy his mother was also active in the treatment of orphan girls.
Henry Dunant's experience grew after he went to North Africa. Later Henry Dunant wrote a book against slavery and the slave sales. The book he wrote was published in 1857 along with the children's book written by Harriet Beecher describing the brutality of slavery in the United States. The events of the Crimean War also quite piercing his heart. Henry Dunant and his drive flared up when touched hearing the Duke's daughter Florence Nightingale left for the United Kingdom provide succor to treat and relieve the burden of suffering of the soldiers were injured.
